~ Explore Pendleton from Above ~
The drone craze has hit Pendleton – and not just at the official UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) testing range at the Pendleton Airport. The Grecian Heights Air Park is the place to fly your own recreational drone. If you’re near Pendleton’s airport, keep an eye out for some of the largest drones you’ve ever seen. The Pendleton UAS Range is an official test range for Unmanned Aerial Systems. In addition to two conventional runways, the airport provides a dedicated 2,800-foot UAS airstrip, hangars and a full-service UAS operating area with power, water and dark fiber connections. Drones at this location are restricted to commercial use requiring pre-authorization only.
